An annual feed contains as a supplement humic and/or fulvic acid or a derivative thereof. The supplement may be present in the form of lignite or peat, or a material obtained by treatment of lignite or peat. The treatment may be oxidation or treatment with HNO 3 , NO 2 , N 2 O 5 , HCI, Cl 2 , H 2 SO 4 , H 2 SO 5 , SO 3 , HMnO 4 , a metallic peroxide, or salts thereof or a halogeno acid or salt thereof, or air or O 2 . The humic and/or fulvic acid derivative may be nitro humic, nitro fulvic, chlorohumic, chlorofulvic, chloronitrohumic, chloronitrofulvic, sulphonated humic, sulphonated fulvic acids, mixtures thereof, and or salts thereof. The supplement may be utilised in the presence of a non-protein nitrogen compound, such as urea. |
