PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermal recording material having high whiteness which can be produced at high speed by blade coating system and can form a uniform image. SOLUTION: The thermal recording material comprises a thermal coloring layer containing a leuco dye and a developer for thermally coloring the leuco dye is provided on a support, and a protective layer provided as required wherein the thermal coloring layer or the protective layer contains PVA and a stilbene derivative shown by a formula. In the formula, at least two points among A through Q points represent a sulfonate. |
