PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unify a characteristic of an elastic layer on the whole circumference so as to improve image quality in an image recording device. SOLUTION: On the surface of a round rod with a predetermined diameter, a plurality of fine circumferential grooves with a predetermined width W2 and depth D2 complying with a radius of curvature at the tip of a cutting tool are cut by means of the cutting tool, and a base die is produced. After metal is electrically cast on the outer circumference of the base die, the base die is selectively dissolved and removed, and a metal die is produced. By means of injection molding using the metal die, an elastic layer 2 in which a plurality of fine circumferential grooves 3 with a width W1 , a depth D1 , and an interval L1 within a predetermined fluctuation ratio are formed on the surface 2A, is formed, and these grooves 3 provide surface roughness with a predetermined value to the surface 2A. |
