PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device formed such that regulation is practicable through only single control lever, and with regulating height position or inclination position maintained, only a steering column is moved in an axial direction during collision. SOLUTION: A round pipe shaft 9 is arranged at a guide rail 3 vertically to a cover pipe 7. A bolt 5 protruded from the cover pipe 7 is located in the round pipe shaft 9, and the bolt 5 is protruded through an oblong notch extending in parallel to the axial direction of the cover pipe. Teeth are formed in the longitudinal edge part of the oblong notch, and a profile piece 26 engaged with the toothed longitudinal edge part against the force of at least one spring 28 to store a force is arranged at the inner end part of the bolt 5. The control lever 10 is supported at the round pipe shaft 9 and through operation of the lever, at least one of coupling links 12 and 13 is movable in the direction of the round pipe shaft 9. One coupling link 13 is provided on the side positioned opposite to the cover pipe 7 with at least one toothed strip, and the strip is engaged with a toothed strip 22 arranged at a fixed part 1. |
