PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet head and a liquid jet unit in which meniscus vibration is suppressed at the moment of resetting meniscus while shortening the meniscus reset time (refill time). SOLUTION: The liquid jet head comprises a liquid jet port 1, a liquid channel 2 communicating with the liquid jet port 1, means 5 arranged in the liquid channel 2 and generating a pressure for jetting a liquid through the jet port 1, and a liquid chamber 3 communicating with the liquid channel 2. The jet port 1 includes a region 10 having cross-sectional areas in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the jet port 1 decreasing from the liquid channel 2 side toward the the jet port 1 and a step 7 wherein the region 10 and the step 7 are connected according to a discontinuous function, for example. |
