<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling apparatus capable of surely air-cooling high-temp. granular materials which emit offensive odors without allowing these odors to leak outside with a simplified construction in a reduced size, reduction and simplification. SOLUTION: The feed and discharge ports 21, 23 of a cooling vessel 6 housing the high-temp. granular materials 5 which emit the offensive odors connected to an existing discharge path 3 disposed with a waste gas treating machine 2 for dust and odor removal treatment. The waste gases 12 heading toward the waste gas treating machine 2 in the discharge path 3 are partly introduced as cooling gases 12a from the section port 13 via a suction duct 25 into the cooling chamber 17 of the cooling vessel 6 to air cool the granular materials 5 in the cooling chamber 17. The gases 12b used for air cooling of the granular materials 5 are introduced from a discharge chamber 16 via a discharge duct 24 to the waste gas treating machine 2 where the gases are subjected to dust collection and deodorization by the waste gas treating machine 2. The gases are then released from a chimney 13.</p> |
