PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device for when a dumb waiter landing door is opened, which can be easily operated by anybody from a landing sufficiently distant from a hoistway. SOLUTION: A device comprises a door closed condition confirming switch 5 provided in each floor so as to detect a landing door closed condition an operation start signal output means outputting an operation signal by closing of all the landing door closed condition confirming switches connected in series by a switch side connector 5b and a circuit side connector 12a, and a switch device 9 having a device side connector 10a connected to the circuit side connector disconnected from the landing door closed condition confirming switch to output the operation signal from the operation start signal output means.
