PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rotatably support the end of a rotating shaft to which a flywheel is fixed in the non-contact state by adding a bearing function in the radial direction to a magnetic bearing for supporting the end of the rotating shaft. SOLUTION: A magnetic bearing 18 is constituted by a rotor 28 fixed to the end of a rotating shaft 15, a first and second stators 29, 30 fixed to a casing 10, and a permanent magnet 31. On the concentric circle of the rotating shaft 15, the projections of the rotor 28 and the projections of the first and second stators 29, 30 are formed opposite to each other. The magnetic flux produced between the tip ends of these projections support the load in the direction of thrust and in the radial direction. |
