PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an ink from being rendered insoluble on the jet port face at the time of recovering an ink jet head unit integrally comprising an ink jet head jetting an image forming ink and an ink jet head jetting a processing liquid for conditioning the printability of ink. SOLUTION: The ink jet head unit comprises a plurality of ink jet heads each provided with an energy generating section for jetting a liquid through a plurality of jet ports 13, 15 arranged in one direction wherein the plurality of ink jet heads are arranged in second direction different from the first direction and integrated. A member 22 exhibiting higher liquid repellence than jet port faces 14f, 16f, where the plurality of jet ports 13, 15 of a pair of adjacent ink jet heads are opened, is placed between the jet port faces 14f, 16f of the pair of ink jet heads. |
