PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sealing and bonding an engine block, oil pan, sealed flange or the like used in the vehicle and engine industries by providing a joint surface of at least one of structural parts to be bonded with one or more notches, and injecting an adhesive through an opening provided at the notch after the two structural parts are joined. SOLUTION: This method injects a sealant and/or adhesive under pressure into a notch 12 from an opening, after a lid 10 is joined with a connecting piece 20 by one or more screws. The sealant flows in two ways from the opening, until it fills each semicircular segment of the notch 12. Air displaced from the notch 12 is released out through a ventilation port 14. The part 10 is joined with another part, before the sealant is injected into the notch 12. |
