PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording transparent recording medium having not only excellent ink absorbency of water soluble ink but also satisfactory water resistance and fingerprint resistance. SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording transparent recording medium having an ink fixing layer 2 on one or both surfaces of a transparent base 1, the ink fixing layer contains water soluble resin and oil in water emulsion, the resin contains polyvinyl alcohol having the degree of saponification of 78 to 92mol% and the degree of polymerization of 1700 or more or polyvinyl alcohol having the degree of polymerization of 1700 or more by cationic modification, and the emulsion contains acrylic emulsion. Thus, ink absorbency, water resistance and fingerprint resistance can be all improved. |
