PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a recorded image with an excellent coloring density, vividness, various fastness properties, in particular, light fastness by forming a dye receiving layer to be formed on a thermal transfer image receiving sheet with specific aromatic polycarbonate resin. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer image receiving sheet has a full color image formed on one surface of a base sheet in which the thermal head of a printer is used as heating means, a number of color dots three colors or four colors are transferred to an image receiving sheet through a short period of heating, and a full color image is formed by the number of color dots, and the dye receiving layer is formed of aromatic polycarbonate resin. The polycarbonate resin is a random copolymer of a constitutional unit denoted by a formula I and a constitutional unit denoted by a formula II; herein, general purpose solvent soluble polycarbonate resin is used in which the content of the constitutional unit denoted by the formula I is 70mol% or lower and Tg of the random copolymer is 125 deg.C or higher.
