PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing ABS-based polymer without causing smell from the obtained polymer, and when molding and processing, exhibiting excellent molding processability, impact resistance and thermal resistance. SOLUTION: A mercaptopropionic ester of the formula HSCH2 CH2 COOR (R is a 4-18C linear or branched alkyl group or an alkoxyalkyl group) is used within a range of 0.01-5wt.% based on the total amount of monomers as a polymerization regulator when polymerizing 5-40 pts.wt. gumy polymer, 60-95 pts.wt. monomer comprising (a) 40-80wt.% styrene, (b) 10-40wt.% acrylonitrile and (c) 0-40wt.% vinyl-based monomer copolymerizable therewith, and a radical polymerization initiator. |
