PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent trouble such as chain division by strongly coupling the butterfly stick, box stick and extrusion-molded terminal engager of open and separate type inserter. SOLUTION: Concerning an open and separate type fastener, thermoplastic resin engagers 2 are extrusion-molded at fixed intervals on two connecting threads 7, the engagers 2 are bent in the shape of U and sewn while being sandwiched on a fastener tape 1, several terminal engagers 2 are removed from a sewing thread 14 by cutting the connecting threads 7, and a core part 15 is formed by press-contacting and fixing the sewing thread 14. Concerning the terminal engager 2, a leg part 11 is pressure-formed to provide a pressure- formed part 16, a metallic butterfly stick 4 is equipped with dovetail groove 17 on its one side and a tongue 18 at its top end, the butterfly stick 4 is inserted into the core part 15, the tongue 18 is press-contacted with the pressure-formed part 16 and worked by calking, and the butterfly stick 4 and the engager 2 are integrally fixed. In that case, there is no gap between the butterfly stick 4 and the engager 2, no chain division occurs from the gap, and the box stick is similarly mounted as well. |
