<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of proving a new thin top coating film having a three-dimensional appearance due to high lightness flop and color flop and further a great color depth by compounding a particulate size filler having a porous surface with a color pigment. SOLUTION: This new pigment composition comprises 100 pts.wt. total of (A) 5-50 pts.wt. particulate size filler having a porous surface, (B) 50-90 pts.wt. color pigment (preferably a transparent quinacridone pigment, etc.). A polyamide filter having 2-8μm average particle size and 5-12m<2> /g surface area is preferred as the component A. Among the polyamides, a polymerized lauryllactam or a polymerized caprolactam or both are especially preferred. The diameter of pores present on the surface of the component A is preferably 0.1-0.4μm. The objective composition is preferably obtained by dry blending the components A with B. A structure improver such as stearic acid or an aggregation preventing agent such as sulfonic acid or both can further be added to the objective composition.</p> |
