According to the invention, there is provided a hybrid maize plant, designated as 34E79, produced by crossing two Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. proprietary inbred maize lines. This invention relates to the hybrid seed 34E79, the hybrid plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and trivial modifications of Hybrid 34E79. Hybrid 34E79 is characterized by its high yielding potential, early flowering for its maturity and very good brittle stalk resistance, excellent staygreen and late season stalk strength. Hybrid 34E79 has above average yields and performs best under low and mid-yield environments.
