<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow steering when drive is carried out in front of a steering end area and to apply a brake on arrival at this area so as to reduce a shock to a terminal end by providing a steering end area detection means and a brake means applying a brake to an electric motor. SOLUTION: When it is determined that a steering gear is turned to the steering end area on the left/right side (E is not equal to zero) (S6), it is determined whether a measuring time (t) of a timer reaches the predetermined time t1 or not (S7). If the measuring time (t) of the timer does not reach the predetermined time (t), a voltage of 100% duty is outputted to a power steering motor (S8). On the other hand, it is determined that the measuring time (t) of the timer reaches the predetermined time t1, reverse directional electric current is let flow in the power steering motor (S9), and electric brake is applied. In this way, impact force in a collision of a steering gear to the end edge can be reduced.</p> |
