In a suspension apparatus for electrical cables, comprising a base body 1 having a suspension eye 4 on which a pressure piece 10 is mounted such that it can move and is connected to a tightening apparatus, and comprising a roller 7 which is mounted in a fixed position in the base body and such that it can rotate, in which case the roller and the pressure piece are adjustable relative to one another, the tightening apparatus has a pair of tension levers 15 (which are arranged on the base body and are connected to the pressure piece such that they can pivot) and a pair of tightening levers 20 which are mounted on the base body at a distance from the pressure piece such that they can pivot, in which case each tension lever has a slot 17 which runs obliquely and transversely with respect to its longitudinal axis and has notches 19 in which a bolt 22 that is arranged on the respective tightening lever engages, in which case each tightening lever can pivot slightly beyond its dead-centre point. The base body may be designed either in the form of a U-shaped bracket with two rigid limbs or two limbs 2a, 2b which can pivot with respect to one another, or in a J-shape with one shorter limb and one longer limb.
