The woofer (2) and secondary woofer (22) each have a permanent circular magnet (10, 32) between upper and lower plates. A rod (6, 26) is inserted through the magnet and an ordinary bobbin (16) with turns (18L, 18U) wound on the exterior encircles the rod which stands proud of the lower surface of the upper plate (24) of the secondary woofer and of the upper surface of the lower plate (4) of the woofer. The tweeter (36) comprises a cylindrical lower plate (24) and annular upper plate (46) with a permanent magnet (38) placed in a groove in the lower plate. A plate (47) is placed on the magnet and a second bobbin (40) has turns (42) on its exterior.
