The support has a base (1) which is fixed to a wall, by bonding or screws. A support (3) is fixed to the base and holds a cylindrical rigid tube of toothpaste radially and prevents movement of the tube when a user presses on the distribution nozzle. The inner diameter of the support is less than the outer diameter of the tube and deforms elastically to hold the tube. The contact surface of the support is shaped to prevent movement. The support can be made in one piece.
