A support (1) for a filter sleeve placed over it is used to maintain the sleeve in a taut state and comprises length direction rods (2) held together by rings (3) which are divided into ring sections (3a, 3b) permanently secured to the rods. The support has an elongated cage shape.Part (1a) of the support has the rods joined to one ring section and another part (1b) has the rods joined to the other ring section, these parts being joined together in such a way that they can be moved relative to each other in the support length direction between an assembly/dismantling position in which the sleeve has a reduced cross-sectional area compared with the sleeve, and a use position in which the cross-sectional area of the support is greater than that of the sleeve. |
