A switching valve device which comprises a switching valve (A) having a spool hole (2), a switching spool (3), first and third pressure receiving chambers (12, 17) for pushing the switching spool toward a first position, and second and fourth pressure receiving chambers (15, 18) for pushing the switching spool toward a second position, the switching valve establishing communication between a first output port (5) and the first pressure receiving chamber and communication between a second output port (6) and the second pressure receiving chamber; a first relief valve (20); and a second relief valve (21). When pressure acts on the first pressure receiving chamber and the fourth pressure receiving chamber, the switching spool slides from the first position toward the second position, and when pressure acts on the second pressure receiving chamber and the third pressure receiving chamber, the switching spool slides from the second position toward the first position.
