PURPOSE:To easily form fine patterns for tracking by forming a thermosetting resin layer on a substrate consisting of a thermoplastic resin and forming resist patterns and recording layer thereon. CONSTITUTION:Both surfaces of a polycarbonate resin disk 11 are pretreated, a melamine resin is coated and is cured to form a thermosetting resin layer 12. A positive type photoresist of a novolak phenol resin system is then applied on one surface of the resin layer 12. The photoresist is then irradiated with UV rays through a glass mask patterned with tracking lines, etc., and is developed to form resist patterns 13. The recording layer 14 consisting of a low oxide of Ni is formed on the resin layer 12 and the patterns 13 by RF reactive sputtering. The formation of the fine tracking patterns, etc., by applying photolithography is possible in this way and, therefore, the inexpensive information recording medium which can record and reproduce information at a high speed and high density is obtd. |
