PURPOSE:To save the memory capacity of a storing means and to reduce the cost of the title device by storing directly reduction processed picture data in the storing means. CONSTITUTION:An IPU (image processing unit) 90 is connected to a CODEC 95, and an enlarging and reducing part 91 to enlarge and reduce picture information and a length and breadth converting part 93 to rotate the picture information are built in this IPU 90. The enlarging and reducing part 91 has a reduction processing means for directly reduction processing the picture information read by an image scanner 1 and stores the reduction processed picture information in a storing means (picture memory) 35. Thus, the memory capacity of the picture memory 35 can be saved, and the cost of the device can be reduced. |
