<p>This invention concerns a device for optical coupling of a solid-state laser with an optical wave guide. To that effect, an anamorphotic lens system is positioned between the exit surface of the solid-state laser and the entrance surface of the optical wave guide. This lens system transforms differing apertures in the major section of the solid-state laser into essentially equal apertures at the entrance surface of the optical wave guide. The lens system consists of anamorphotic lens mounted at the exit surface and an additional lens mounted at the entrance surface. This invention also comprises a process for producing the device.</p> |
