PURPOSE:To enable advance and retreat with the aid of double-inversion propellers principally by an advance and retreat shifting mechanism by arranging plural propellers and an epicyclic gear machine in specific constitution, respectively, at the end projected rearward from the gear case of a propeller shaft. CONSTITUTION:A vertical drive shaft 3, which is guided out from an engine room above, and a longitudinal propeller shaft 4 are arranged, respectively, inside a gear case 1. And the shaft 4 is projected rearward from the gear case 1, and at this projection end, the first and second propellers 15 and 19 are layed down in order. Moreover, at the end of the shaft 4, an epicyclic gear box 23, whose front is opened, is so arranged as to surround this. And the epicyclic gear mechanism incorporated in the box 23 supports a planetary gear 25 incapably in revolution, and sets a ring gear 27 and a sun gear 29 capably in revolution. Furthermore, the sun gear 29 and the propeller shaft 4, and the ring gear 27 and the second propeller 19 are coupled, respectively. |
