PURPOSE:To simply and effectively control vertical temperature distributions by providing an air conditioner having diffusing temperature control units at upper and lower parts in a room, and so altering the diffusing temperatures of upper and lower air conditioners that the temperatures of the upper and lower parts in the room become set temperatures. CONSTITUTION:At the time of air conditioning in which diffused flows of an upper air conditioner 2 and a lower air conditioner 3 are passed in a room and circulated from a suction port 10 via a duct 11, the temperature deviation of the upper part in the room is calculated based on the outputs of an upper temperature detector 12 and a lower temperature detector 13 in the room. When the absolute value of the temperature difference is larger than 0.2 degree, the upper diffusing temperature is altered. When the difference falls within a control target, the conditioner 2 is so controlled as to become the upper diffusing temperature. Even when the diffusing temperature is altered, the conditioner 2 is so controlled as to become new diffusing temperature. Such control is also executed by the conditioner 3 to simply and effectively control the vertical temperature distributions in the room. |
