<p>PURPOSE:To permit the preservation of vegetables and fruits for longer period of time by a method wherein a film body, having a structure to retain porous gas adsorbing material between two sheets of nonwoven fabrics and provided with gas adsorbing and removing functions, is provided above the moisture permeable film of a lid body, provided on the upper surface opening of a vegetable vessel so as to be contacted closely, so as to be contacted with the moisture permeable film of the lid body closely. CONSTITUTION:A lid body 21, provided on the upper surface opening of a vegetable vessel 8 so as to be contacted closely, is constituted of a flat plate 22, consisting of the olefine thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene, polypropylene and the like and having a multitude of through holes, a moisture permeable film 23, bonded to one side of the flat plate 22 by fusion, a gas adsorbing film 24, arranged so as to be contacted closely with the moisture permeable film 23, and a packing 26, arranged on the outer peripheral sides of the flat plate 22 and made of vinyl chrolide or the like. The conditions of low-temperature and high- humidity, which are optimum for the preservation of vegetables and fruits, can be obtained in the vegetable vessel 8 by the effect of the moisture permeable film 23. Further, ethylene gas, generated mainly from the fruits, is adsorbed and removed by the effect of the gas adsorbing material 27 of the gas adsorbing film 24. According to this method, over-mature, deterioration and the like due to allelopathy and the like may be prevented.</p> |
