<p>Vibrating sieve has elastically mounted sieving frame driven by an unbalanced drive rotating about an axis perpendicular to the length of the sieve and offset from the line parallel to this rotational axis passing through the centre of gravity. The vertical distance from the rotational axis to the centre of gravity is 1/20-1/50 of the length of the sieve. The horizontal offset of the rotational axis from the centre of gravity is zero for large sieve openings and increases for finer sieves. The advantage of the drive is that it results in a tendency to delay discharge of material from the lower end of the sieve, resulting in piling up, and therefore in an increased residence time and improved sieving.</p> |
