FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: method includes crushing clayey rock, adding 6-10 wt % of oil sludge with 3-30 wt % water preheated to 80-95 C, and additional water. Amount of the latter is determined from the equation: A=X-(Y+0.01Cg) where X is optimum content of water in clayey batch (16-20 wt %); Y content of water in clayey rock, wt %; C amount of oil sludge added, wt %; and g content of water in oil sludge, wt %. Afterwards granules are shaped, dried, roasted, and cooled. EFFECT: decreased apparent density and increased strength. 1 tblh
