Resin bonded fluid handling materials with improved fluid handling performance

The present invention is concerned with providing porous fluid handling materials which are resin bonded materials for being used as aquisition materials. The resin is impregnated into the web in a non-uniform distribution throughout the thikness of the web (i.e. the smaller Z direction perpendicular to the cross machine direction -or width- and the machine direction of the web - or length-), such a resin has a higher concentration on a weight basis on a first surface than on a the second surface. The overall, average, resin concentration is of about 25% of the basis weight, and the difference is approximated by having about two thirds of the total resin in the upper half of the web, which comrises also the first surface and is intended to be directed towards the wearer when in use.
