Compressor air flows round the chamber's outer wall (2), which is protected by at least one wall (3) from hot gas burn-out. The outer wall and a flame tube form a cool air duct (4) for the compressor air. Combustion air is conducted to the flame tube via air sleeves (5). A combustion zone (I), rich in fuel, lies upstream in the flame tube, and an after-burning zone (III), weak in fuel, lies downstream from the air sleeves. The cool air duct extends from the fuel-rich combustion zone towards the after-burning zone. The compressor air escapes from the cool air duct downstream from the fuel rich combustion zone. |
