Strip end gripping and guiding device for coiled or wound metal strips

The strip end gripping and guiding device grips the end of a metal strip (10) wound into a coil (9). It includes a moving strip threading trolley (7) with a strip clamping device including clamping chisels (6). There is a stable rack (8) at a spacing from the coil. The rack receives a turning guide element (1) on a pivoting device (4) with horizontal axis. It is in a vertical plane perpendicular to the central axis of the coil. This guide element bridges the gap between the coil and the rack and guides the strip end (3) by means of two rollers (5).
