Clutch-less infinitely-variable gear units

An infinitely-variable gear unit has a number of gears arranged side-by-side which can all be set in motion from rest, on a common shaft (1). The gear unit can be further equipped in sections with following-stage gears. An eccentric ring (7A/B) moves an angled lever (4) on the shaft, transferring the force (F) using a supporting bearing (2) to a fixed baseplate, ratchet (14) and drive disc (6) using a spring (6B) and force regulator spring (10B). The drive is effected through a number of gears arranged side-by-side on coaxial shafts (1A). The angled levers attached to the baseplate create a freewheel (13), arrangement using the regulated eccentric.
