According to the invention, lever-shaped contact elements (5) of the socket connector (1) are provided with a first lever arm (5a) and a second lever arm (5b). By inserting a slot-in element (3), specially a chip card, along the insert path in a recess (4) of the socket (1), the second lever arm (5b) can be moved in such a way that the first lifting arm (5a) is pressed onto the contact surface (2) of the slot-in element (3) from above thereby avoiding abrasion of the surface of the slot-in element when inserted and guaranteeing sufficient contact pressure of the first lever arm (5a).
