Recovery of magnesium chloride from natural deposits

Recovery of magnesium chloride from natural deposits comprises dissolving the MgCl2 from the deposits with water and crystallising the resulting solutions over a period of days. The novelty is that the MgCl2 is dissolved so that a prevailing temperature is produced in the saturated solution. The saturated solution is cooled for crystallising and the crystals formed are removed.
