FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: junction box has hollow case in the form of cylindrical shell with knurled side surfaces and through holes to bring in wire leads. Side surface of case has projections flanged inside at right angle and provided with threaded holes to secure electric wiring components designed for flange mounting. Holes for passing wire leads have end caps made of flexible insulating material, such as flexible polyvinyl chloride. Internal end surface of end cap is thin-walled and has concentric annular grooves, their diameters corresponding to those of wire leads brought inside.
