Transpiration cooled fuel injector bar for a ramjet engine

The panel (6) has a nose section (7) with a leading edge (8) which receives the incoming oxidant flow. The nose section is hollow, with side walls (12) and an inner chamber (11) containing an injection bar (16) with outlets to deliver cooling jets of fluid, e.g. fuel, to the perforated leading edge. To the rear of the leading edge the panel comprises a housing containing primary chambers in the form of perforated open-ended cylinders set one on top of another. The cylinders are connected at one end to the main fuel injector and at the other to the injection bar inside the leading edge.
