The circuit comprises an amplifier (V3) amplifying the error signal (f1) derived from the input (e1) and output (a1) signals of the amplifier (V1). The error signal is superimposed on the amplifier output signal to compensate the intermodulation products it contains. A pre-emphasiser (VVZ) is connected in series with the amplifier input. When the amplifier is operating in the non-linear control range a controller (ST1) depending on the error signal adjusts the pre-emphasiser so that the error signal is minimum. Provision can be made to decouple a signal component from the amplifier input and output signals and the difference of these two components forms the error signal |
