The control device has a carrier (1) for an electric circuit and for an acceleration sensor (2). A cross-bar (3) is provided to fasten the control device into the vehicle. Each limb of the cross-bar (3) is formed to receive a fastening device. The cross-bar (3) may be conductively connected to an earth potential of the electric circuit. The circuit carrier (1) may be a cut out grid with conductive tracks cut from a metal strip. The cross-bar (3) may be mechanically and electrically connected to the circuit carrier (1). The circuit carrier (1) and the cross-bar (3) may be embedded in a plastic cladding (4).
