FIELD: acoustic methods of nondestructive testing. SUBSTANCE: gear for ultrasonic inspection of articles has case, unit of converters put with its plane on inspected article, prism with piezoelement filled with compound and guide. Guide is joined to case with the aid of screw and is intended for correct orientation of unit of converter with respect to case. For close fitting of unit of converters to article cylindrical surface of case carries shock absorbers. EFFECT: simplified design of gear and expanded range of inspected articles. 1 cl, 2 dwgm
