Windbreak on opening roof of road vehicle

The opening roof (1) for a road vehicle has a set of sliding panels (2) and there is a windbreak (3) with a sloping surface (6) at the front end of the opening in the roof. The ends of the windbreak are curved round to form sidepieces (4,5) extending toward the rear of the opening in the roof. The sidepieces gradually taper toward the rear reaching minimum height or zero height at the rear ends. There are elongated cutouts (8) in the lower edges of the sidepieces, so that they are joined (7) to the roof panel only at infrequent intervals.
