The stock inlet, for a papermaking machine, has suspension flow guides (5) at the leading zone (4), near the fluid feed (7). Also claimed is a stock inlet operation, to reduce the working width of a sectional fluid feed at the entry into a turbulence unit in the main flow, where the flow of the sectional fluid feed gives a deflection towards the next entry opening of the turbulence unit.
