Gear component for drive units for power transfer and braking

The gear component comprises an input and output shaft, with first hydraulic, and second mechanical, gear part connected in series. The hydraulic gear part comprises at least two blade wheels - a primary and secondary blade wheel forming a toroid operating compartment. The two blade wheels are connected to the gear input shaft and the mechanical gear part at least by part of the first, power transfer phase by which power is transferred from the primary blade wheel via the secondary blade wheel to the mechanical gear part. One of the two blade wheels is held fast and supported in relation to the fixed gear parts. The other, second, blade wheel is joined to the second mechanical gear part.
