Film scanner with blanking interval insertion circuit

The film scanner includes a circuit arrangement (2,3,5,6) which inserts blanking intervals in a video signal (Y) using a first control signal (K). The first control signal is converted into a second control signal (K*) by converting values of the first control signals which are below a first threshold into a lower control level. The values of the first control signals which are above a second threshold are converted into an upper signal level. Values between the thresholds are converted into linear proportional intermediate values. The video signal is converted using the second control signal in such a way that the video signal (Y') is changed proportionally to the second control signal. The output signal is added to a predetermined signal value.
