Regenerative thermal oxidation system cleaning industrial waste gases

This unit cleans raw effluent gases leaving industrial plant. The impurities are removed by regenerative thermal oxidation. Heat exchanger chambers are operated regeneratively for this purpose. These are used in alternation to heat the raw gas and cool the hot, treated gas. The original feature is a gas control unit with a raw gas chamber connected to the raw gas inlet and a clean gas chamber connected with the raw gas outlet. In the raw gas chamber there is a symmetrical drum rotating on its axis, controlling the raw gas flow through the heat exchanger chambers. There is a corresponding arrangement in the clean gas chamber. Both drums (46, 48) are synchronously motor-driven.
