Method of producing dental cast objects from impressions

First, impressions are taken by using an impression mass of the patient's tooth stumps. From the impressions a model of e.g. gypsum is cast. Castings are then modelled on top of the model and casting moulds are produced for the castings by embedding material. An impression with the impression mass is taken from a prefabricated test specimen (1) preferably made of steel plate and having phantom tooth-stumps (2). A test model is then produced from the impression and modelling mass. A test casting is modelled and cast by the test model, and its matched with the test specimen checked. The expansion of the embedding mass can be altered by the proportion of its admixture.
