The invention concerns an agent for treating metabolic disorders which are the underlying cause of multiple sclerosis. The agent contains proteins, peptides and amino acids, the individual amounts of the amino acids Arg, Phe, Tyr, Gly, Glu, Gln and Asn or mixtures thereof used each being within a specific narrow range, with a deviation of +/- 0.1 g for the amino acids Arg, Phe, Tyr, Gly and Glu, and less than 0.01 g for Gln and Asn, in each case per 100 g dry mass, such that the maximum dose of Arg is 30, the maximum dose of Phe is 70 and the maximum dose of Tyr is 40 mg, respectively, per kilogram of body weight per day, the maximum dose of Gly is 70 mg per kg body weight per day, and the maximum dose of Glu is 150 mg per kg body weight per day. The agent is prepared by treating microbiological, plant or animal starter substances selected from the group comprising non-pathogenic yeasts, animal milk, animal milk products, albumen, legumes and cereals, according to different variants for the enteral form. |
