摘要 FIELD: test of ball bearings in process of their manufacture, diagnostics of ball bearings in process of their operation. SUBSTANCE: it is suggested that contact angle in ball bearing should be measured with use of vibration signals obtained from ball bearing rotating under load. Amplitude spectrum of vibrations is measured, vibration signals are digitized and converted to digital form. Components of vibration spectrum within specified frequency ranges are determined, signal is entered into working buffer, vibration signal is subjected to fast Fourier transform and rotational speeds of rotor, cage with balls with respect to outer and inner races and of ball relative to own axis are found. Then contact angle is determined as function of parameters of rotational speeds of parts of ball bearing. Device for realization of method includes vibration converter, amplifier-converter, filter, unit for processing of analog-discrete signal, Fourier converter, finders of rotational speed of outer race, set of balls relative to outer and inner rings, of ball about its own axis and unit calculating and registering sought-for contact angle.
