FIELD: medicine, immunology. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes a preparation that is a modified BCG. Preparation is a specific immunomodulating agent containing extract from tuberculosis mycobacteria of vaccine strain BCG complexed with polyoxydonium - synthetic immunostimulating agent taken at ratio (1:30)-(1:120). Combination of this preparation with conventional antituberculosis chemotherapy enhances effectiveness of the latter due to recovery of impaired indices of immunity T-link: amount of T-lymphocyte-killers, ratio of T-helpers/T-suppressors, proliferative activity of T-lymphocytes in vitro, phagocyte activity of macrophages and mean span of life of treated mice as compared with nontreated ones or treated with antituberculosis chemotherapy only.
